Pilates WITH GEM
Pilates centres around postural alignment and pays a lot of attention to our abdominal corset of muscles, which support the spine.
Moving with control and precision allows you to develop your technique safely. This will protect your spine and reduce muscle imbalances, which may lead to injury and the risk of back pain in the future.
In class you will learn a variety of exercises to increase strength and mobility throughout the whole body, which allows you to move well in your daily life. Pilates can be used to compliment training for a large variety of sports, as it is widely adaptable.
We practice relaxation through stretching and breathing techniques, which helps you to find a sense of calm and wellbeing. Pilates suits all ages and fitness levels. It is particularly beneficial for those with back or neck pain and injury. Exercises can be adapted to your own individual needs, if necessary. Pregnant ladies are welcome at this class if they have practiced Pilates before. In some cases a 1-2-1 session with Gem would be recommended beforehand. If you are unsure, please contact us.
