​The Rocci Tree came into being in 2016 when Rocci had been teaching for around three years as Rocci Yoga. Natasha, who had been one of her students since moving to the area, decided she would like to complete her Yoga Teacher Training. 

​

At this point Rocci was teaching over 15 classes a week and was regularly asked for more. So it made sense for Rocci and Natasha to join forces. After speaking to Alexis and Karen who were both local newly qualified yoga teachers it was decided to all come together and create a wellness studio.

​

When we came to deciding a name, The Rocci Tree was suggested as Rocci had built up a good reputation and we all know how 'rocky' a Tree pose can be (hence the logo).

​

At this time we discovered the beautiful building we now call our home, The Forster Institute. The trustees of the hall have been amazingly supportive and generous in helping us build into the wonderful wellness studio we are today. We honestly wouldn't still be here without their support.

​

On the 13th of September 2016 we opened our doors as a yoga studio for the very first time. 

​

Since then we have had the good fortune of great teachers turning up just at the right times and now have a regular teaching staff of 10, with 15 classes on our weekly timetable, plus monthly sessions and more.

​

In 2018 Rocci qualified as a Senior Yoga Teacher and was asked by Mary, Helen and Natalie to teach them to become yoga teachers, and so began our Yoga Teacher Training Course. (Mary and Helen had met on one of Rocci's first Pregnancy Yoga courses).

​

Natasha is still teaching with us and has joined our office team along with Mary and Rocci. Most of the artwork and posts you see on our social media are done by Natasha, and Mary will be the person whom answers your emails and is your best port of call for support or to help fix issues on the booking system.

​
